José Luis Almazán

- José Luis Almazán is the Founder and Managing Partner of Ocean Capital Partners.
- Additionally, José Luis serves as Senior Advisor in Iberia for Queensland Investment Corporation (QIC), a 80 AU$bn Infrastructure fund with several investments in ports and trasnport assets
- Furthermore, José Luis is the Executive Vice Chairman of PIPE, the reference association within the Spanish ports sector, and is an active member of the Board of Directors of Ocean Infrastructures Management, IGY Málaga Marina, Marina Aucanada Group, Eurogate Group terminals, and Terminales Marítimas del Estrecho (TME).
- Before joining OCP, José Luis was the youngest ever CEO of a Spanish Port Authority and received several national and international awards and recognitions. He has also served as member of the board of directors of several multibillion € companies such as: Boluda Corporación Marítima, Group TCB, Marina PortVell, among others.
- José Luis holds a PhD in Port Management and an M.S. in Civil Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid, an MBA from IE Business School, and has completed the General Management Program (GMP) from Harvard Business School and other postdoctoral studies in IESE and Harvard Business School.
Ricardo Sanz

Ricardo Sanz

- Ricardo Sanz is Managing Director at Ocean Infrastructures Management, consultancy brand of OCP.
- Ricardo is specialized in managing complex infrastructure projects with a high level of investment in the port and defense sectors.
- Before joining OCP, Ricardo worked in both the public and private sectors, having worked at the Port Authority of the Balearic Islands as Head of Infrastructures and Planning. He also worked at Isdefe as Head of the Civil Works Area, where he had the opportunity to participate in international projects in Africa, Latin America and Asia. Ricardo also led the NASA Program for the implementation of the Madrid Deep Space Communication Complex.
- Ricardo has also been Director of the Department of Ports and Coasts in both the private and public companies Elsamex Group (private) and in EPTISA (public).
- Since 2001, he has been a member of the Association of Ports and Coasts of Spain.
- Ricard holds a(n) M.S. in Civil Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid and a Master’s degree in Engineering and Port Management from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia.
Javier Almazan

- Javier Corporate Director of Ocean Capital Partners.
- Before joining OCP, Javier directed several international projects in South America for Spanish, State-owned companies and private companies. Among his many accomplishments, Javier led the development of the Master Plan of El Callao Naval Base in Peru.
- Javier was also the personal advisor for the Viceminister of Public Private Partnerships of Ecuador, having participated in the negotiation of the new deep water container terminal of DP World at Guayaquil.
- He has participated in the development of different projects related to the use of LNG as maritime fuel for the Spanish administration and private companies.
- Javier was also the head of Department of Ports and Coasts for UG21 Engineering Consultants.
- He is member of the Research Group on Maritime and Port Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid.
- Javier holds an M.S. in Civil Engineering, an MBA from IE Business School, and an M.S. in Port Management from UPM and the TrainMos European program. He has also completed the Financial Projection Modeling and Analysis program from the IEB Business School.

- Javier is the Financial Director at Ocean Capital Partners.
- Before joining OCP, Javier was Project Manager in an International NGO, where he managed social projects at the national and European level as responsible for its Corporate Social Responsibility.
- Javier is the manager of the Vice Presidency of PIPE (Spanish Port Investors Platform), and is also the Manager of ASOPORT (Spanish Port Operators), whose partners represent more than 15% of the stowage operations in the Spanish Port Industry.
- Javier holds a Bachelor’s degree in law from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, a specialization certificate in financial analysis from the Centro Universitario Villanueva, and Master’s of Science in Corporate Finance and Investment Banking from IEB Business School.

Almudena Albarrán
Asset Manager
- Almudena holds a(n) M.S. in Civil Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid and an MBA with a specialization in Finance from IEB Business School, where she was valedictorian in her graduating class. Almudena also has a postgraduate degree in international finance and economy from the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
- Almudena leads the Ocean Capital Partners Asset Management division, serving on the Executive Committees of OCP assets.
- Almudena has strong leadership skills; as an elite equestrian athlete, She was a member of the Spanish national team, where she was a 10-time winner of the regional championship in Spain as well as a medalist in the European Championship.
Javier Almazan

José Raúl García
Executive Director
- José Raúl García is the Executive Director and leader of the technical consultancy area at OIM.
- Throughout nearly 25 years of experience, José Raúl has worked and managed numerous projects, studies and research projects in the field of maritime, port and coastal engineering, nationally and internationally.
- Among his successes, he has participated in several projects related to maritime transport in the framework of the Trans-European Transport Networks (TEN-T), working in both public administration and private companies.
- He has also worked on several projects related to LNG as maritime fuel, both for the Spanish administration (Port Authorities and Spanish Ports) and for private companies (regasification terminals and gas distribution companies).
- He is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Eurogate Group Terminals, a company dedicated to the management of port passenger terminals.
- José Raúl has a PhD in Port Management and a(n) M.S. in Civil Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid

- Ferando Gutiérrez is the leader of Business Development and Construction Project Management at OIM.
- Throughout his professional career he has worked in both private companies and public administration as a Managing Director and CEO. He has extensive experience in managing a wide portfolio of projects in engineering and construction. Having managed construction projects for airports, railways, highways and ports, he has experience in all phases of the construction process: design, planning, monitoring and cost control, completion, and delivery to the client and start-up.
- Fernando holds an S. in Civil Engineering from the Alfonso X University.
Sara Blanco

Sara Blanco
Manager
- Sara is a Manager at OCP, leading strategic projects for the company and exploring new business development opportunities.
- Throughout her career, she has specialized in planning and leading strategic and innovative projects for the improvement of energy diversification in maritime transport, energy efficiency, and sustainability in ports.
- She has led numerous projects related to using LNG as marine fuel and Onshore Power Supply (OPS). She has collaborated with State Ports and the Ministry of Industry and Energy in the development of the Spanish National Policy Framework for the deployment of alternative energy in the transport sector. Additionally, She participated in the CORE LNGas Hive in the definition of the national strategy to promote LNG as alternative fuel in the maritime industry.
- Sarah has a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Technical Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid and an MBA from the Valencian International University.

Ignacio Javier del Río

- Ignacio is a manager at OCP.
- Over the last decade, Ignacio has dedicated his career to the port industry, developing senior skills in information technologies, security, protection and management.
- Prior to joining OCP, Ignacio was the manager of the ICT Division at the Melilla Port Authority, where his projects included improving productivity in different areas of the company through the development of new software (ERPS modules), accounting programs and software for business intelligence.
- Additionally, he was also a member of the Spanish Delegation of the Trade Facilitation, Customs and Security Committee at the European Sea ports organization (ESPO).
- Currently, he is the director of Eurogate Group Terminals and is specialized in the management of maritime passenger terminal services.
- Ignacio has a(n) M.S. in Computer Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid. He has also completed programs in Port Management and Maritime Transport, has a(n) MBA in port management from Puertos del Estado, and has completed the Accounting and Finance Studies program from IESE.

- Juan Manuel is a manager at OCP.
- He managed and led the TrainMoS project, which was financed by the European Union, as part of the development of the Trans-European Transport Network. He also led the operating plan for the passenger terminal of the Port of Algeciras and the new mega-yacht installation in the Port of Malaga.
- Juan Manuel has a Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid and a Master’s degree in port management.

- He has extensive experience as a consultant in the ports and maritime industry. Currently, he is involved in numerous M&A projects, mainly related to marinas and container terminals, performing financial analyses and valuation models.
- Jesús has an M.S. in Civil Engineering, specialized in transport, from the Polytechnic University of Madrid. He also has an MBA from IEB.

- Álvaro is an associate at OCP.
- Álvaro has worked as a financial analyst in Sotavento Consultores and Banco Santander.During his time at Sotavento Consultores he carried out investment analyses and reports for retail clients. At Banco Santander he worked in the Origination Department of Syndicated Loans for Western Europe and was in charge of recruiting investment banking clients. As an associate and a member of the financial team at OCP he has developed multiple economic models for licitations with values of over 25 million Euros.
- He has also participated in the development of a variety of consulting projects for the main agents in the Spanish port sector. In addition, Álvaro has participated in various M&As within the port sector, taking charge of the valorization process and the processes of due diligence.

- Marta has participated in the technical and economic evaluation of numerous projects in the port industry, specializing in the superyachts and megayachts sector. Additionally, she has participated in the drafting and project management of Club de Mar-Mallorca, one of the leading Marinas for superyachts in the Mediterranean.

- Pablo is an analyst at OCP. He mainly participates in the technical and economic valuation of different projects in the port industry.
- He has participated in numerous projects and studies focused on the diagnosis of pathologies and the maintenance, repair, and rehabilitation of ports. This includes the port of Aberdeen (United Kingdom), the container terminals of Lomé (Togo), and Gdansk (Poland), as well as maritime structures in the Spanish ports of Vigo, Valencia, Mallorca and Algeciras.
- Pablo has an M.S. in civil engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid.
Sara Blanco

- Miriam is an analyst at OCP.
- Before Joining the company and prior to completing her double Master’s degree, she began her career in the multilateral field. She worked as a consultant for the World Bank Transport and Digital Development Global Practice for one year in Buenos Aires. During this time, she supported the Bank’s transport portfolio for the governments of Argentina and Paraguay. She worked remotely for another six months in a Public Expenditure Review focused on the transport sector for the Republic of Paraguay. Parallel to the completion of her Master’s degree in Madrid, she worked part time in the transport department of Ove Arup & Partners.
- Miriam has an M.S. in Civil Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid and is specialized in financing and management of infrastructures. She also has a Diplôme d’Ingénieur (M.S. in engineering) from l’École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées in Paris.

- Jaime is a legal counsel at OCP.
- Prior to joining OIM, Jaime worked as a real estate lawyer in Ceca Magán Abogados, where he participated in several real estate transactions, namely in the acquisition of multiple assets of a leading Spanish real estate servicer. He also has experience in urban land planning and completed an Urban Management Course from Centro de Estudios Financieros (CEF).
- Upon completion of his law degree, Jaime prepared for the state exam for a career as a judge and prosecutor. He is a member of Madrid’s Bar Association (ICAM). He has also collaborated with several NGOs such as APANAG and AECC.
- Jaime has a Bachelor’s degree in law and a degree in business from the Comillas Pontifical University of Madrid (ICADE). He recently completed a Master’s degree in Business Law Practice in Centro de Estudios Garrigues.

- -Gema is a legal counsel at OCP. She has extensive experience in consulting for concession contracts for private port investors, legal assistance to the Port Authorities, legal audits related to ports in Spain, and corporate structures of port assets.
- -Gema has been the head of the legal departments of various companies, collaborating with different law firms specialized in maritime law, public law, international law, and maritime-port business management. She has developed projects in land regularization, procedural defense, and in civil and corporate and commercial law.

David Garcés

- David currently leads the OCP accounting team.
- David has a Diploma in Business Sciences and a Master’s degree in Hotel Business Management and Administration from C.E.S. Felipe II (UCM). He also has a Master’s degree in Financial Controlling from the Universidad de Alcalá.
- He has developed his professional career in the field of accounting. He worked in the Elsamex group for 11 years, during which he participated in both national and international projects in Abu-Dhabi, Ethiopia, and Botswana, among others.
- Throughout these experiences David has also developed knowledge in the implementation of accounting programs in different companies.
