Managing Partner
José Luis is founder and Managing Partner of Ocean Capital Partners. He also serves as Senior Advisor in Iberia for Queensland Investment Corporation, an infrastructure investment company owned by Australia’s Queensland Government with AUD 98.7 billion (USD 67.9 billion) of assets under management.
Additionally, José Luis is the executive vice chairman of PIPE, the reference association within the Spanish ports sector, and is an active member of the board of directors of various companies, including Ocean Infrastructures Management, IGY Málaga Marina, Marina Aucanada Group, Marina Ibiza, Eurogate Group terminals, Boluda Maritime Terminals and Terminales Marítimas del Estrecho (TME).
José Luis holds a PhD in port management and an MSc in civil engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid and an MBA from IE Business School. He has also completed the General Management Program (GMP) from Harvard Business School, as well as other postdoctoral studies at IESE and Harvard Business School.

Ignacio leads OCP’s Terminals division, which operates two of Spain’s largest commercial ferry terminals, Málaga and Algeciras.
Before joining OCP, Ignacio managed Melilla’s Port Authority IT division. In this role, he focused on improving productivity through the development and implementation of accounting, ERP, and business intelligence software.
Additionally, he was also a member of the Spanish Delegation to the Trade Facilitation, Customs and Security Committee at the European Sea ports organization (ESPO).
Ignacio holds an MSc degree in computer engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid. He has also completed programs in Port Management and Maritime Transport, and holds an MBA in port management from Puertos del Estado. He has also completed the accounting and finance studies program from IESE.
Ana Sánchez

Ana leads OCP’s Marinas division, which focuses on the development and operation of leisure port facilities, as well as on delivering high-quality end-to-end services to megayachts.
Before joining OCP Ana held a key role as COO of Puerto Banus’ luxury marina.
Throughout her career, Ana has led the design and implementation of operational procedures for several marinas and a superyacht teak deck factory. She has also been lead engineer in the design and construction of several marinas.
Ana holds an MSc degree in civil engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid and an MBA in port management and intermodal transportation from the Universidad Pontificia de Comillas.

Head of Consultancy Services
Sara leads Ocean Infrastructures Management (OIM), OCP’s consultancy services division, with a strong focus on areas such as energy diversification in maritime transport, energy efficiency, and sustainability strategies in ports.
Sara has led many projects related to the use of LNG as marine fuel and onshore power supply. She has also helped Spain’s State Ports System and Ministry of Industry and Energy to develop a national policy framework for the deployment of alternative fuels in the transport sector, as part of the CORE LNGas Hive initiative, co-financed by the European Commission. Additionally, she is co-writer of the Spanish Port System Energy Management Guidebook published by Spain’s State Ports.
Before joining OCP, Sara was project manager at ISDEFE, a Spanish state-owned engineering consultancy services company, where she supported the constitution and consolidation of a new business line focused on ports and sustainability.
Sara holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial technical engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid, and an MBA from the Valencian International University.
Fernando Gutierrez
Fernando Gutiérrez
Head of Construction
Fernando Gutiérrez is Head of Construction at OCP, focusing on business development and construction project management, as well as ensuring service quality, profitability and compliance with the business plan.
Before joining OCP, Fernando was CEO of the Municipal Land and Housing Company of Aranjuez, in charge of the acquisition and preparation of land for residential, industrial, tertiary and service promotions. He has proven experience in the field of civil engineering and construction, always assuming positions of responsibility and managing a wide portfolio of projects. He has managed construction projects for airports, railways, highways, and ports.
Fernando holds an MSc in Civil Engineering from the Alfonso X University.

Carlos Gross
Asset Management CFO
Carlos is CFO of OCP’s asset management division, responsible for the execution and structuring of M&A transactions and the supervision of due diligence and other processes. He is also in charge of business development and project execution for port assets financial consultancy services.
Before joining OCP, Carlos was part of the Infrastructure and TMT Structure Finance team of Santander Corporate & Investment Banking division. In this role, he managed a wide range of infrastructure and telecom financing projects at national and European level acting as advisor, bookrunner, coordinator, underwriter, structurer, financial modeler, and mandated lead arranger. He also managed relationships with key clients, investors and other financial entities, contracts negotiations and financial closings.
Carlos has been a member of the European Financial Planning Association (EFPA), as European Financial Planner (EFA), since 2016.
Carlos holds a double bachelor’s degree in law and business administration and management from the Universidad de Granada, as well as a master’s degree in stock exchange and financial markets from the Instituto de Estudios Bursátiles.

Javier is Corporate Director at OCP.
Before joining OCP, Javier directed several international projects in South America for Spanish companies, both state-owned and privately held. In particular, Javier led the development of the master plan of El Callao’s Naval Base, in Peru. He was also the personal advisor to Ecuador’s vice-minister of Public Private Partnerships, having participated in the negotiation of DP World’s new deep water container terminal in Guayaquil.
Javier has participated in the development of different projects related to the use of LNG as maritime fuel for the Spanish administration and private companies. He was also the head of the Department of Ports and Coasts for UG21 Engineering Consultants.
Javier holds an MSc degree in civil engineering, an MBA from IE Business School, and an MSc degree in port management from UPM and the TrainMos European program. He has also completed the Financial Projection Modelling and Analysis program from the IEB Business School. He is a member of the Research Group on Maritime and Port Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid.

Begoña is responsible for the design and implementation of policies to develop talent at OCP.
Before joining OCP, Begoña assumed senior executive roles at various companies, including Indra and Tecnocom. In these roles, she helped shape and improve the human resources function. Before that, she led a business unit of a technology consultancy services firm catering to a wide variety of clients operating in various industries, from energy to telecommunications and defense technology.
In particular, she helped with the design and implementation of various key programs relating to talent acquisition, high-potential development, as well as diversity and inclusion.
Begoña holds a bachelor’s degree in physics from the Universidad Autónoma Madrid and has completed the program for management development from IESE.

Maria Teresa is OCP’s CFO, responsible for finance, accounting and reporting.
Before joining OCP, Maria Teresa worked as CFO at Home Select Property Management, a Spanish Premium property consultant firm, where she defined the finance function model, reviewed business accounting processes and supported the transformation of the company.
She started her career at PwC mainly in the audit and consulting areas, running projects for clients of several industries. She has extensive experience designing accounting flows, identifying gaps, creating operating models, developing and implementing processes, reporting and controlling models.
Maria Teresa holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and management from ICADE, and a master’s degree in Finance and Auditing from ICADE-PwC.

José Raúl García
Technical Director
José Raúl is Technical Director at OCP, where he has led a wide variety of projects related to administrative concessions in ports, including several M&A deals related to container terminals, marinas, and other port assets.
Throughout his career, José Raúl has helped with numerous projects in the fields of maritime, port, and coastal engineering. In particular, he has participated in various projects related to maritime transport in the framework of the Trans-European Transport Networks (TEN-T).
José Raúl has also participated in several projects related to LNG as maritime fuel, both for the Spanish administration and for private companies, and has been Board Director of Eurogate Group Terminals, a company dedicated to the management of maritime passenger terminals, as well as the provision of services to passengers.
José Raúl holds a PhD in port management and an MSc in civil engineering from the Technical University of Madrid. He teaches at various postgraduate and master programs and is author of a wide number of academic publications. He has participated in regulation processes with Spain’s Committee for Standardization (AENOR).

Juan Manuel manages consultancy projects related to ports, both for the public and private sectors. He is also part of the management team of the Spanish Association of Port Operating Companies (ASOPORT).
Throughout his career, Juan Manuel has specialized in consultancy services for the port and coastal sectors, mostly in Spain but also Middle East, South and Central America, and Africa. Specifically, he has helped design and implement business strategies for container, bulk and passenger terminals, general cargo, and ro-ro, as well as for marinas. Additionally, he has participated in several projects related to the European Union’s ‘Motorways of the Sea’ framework.
Juan Manuel is a civil engineer from the Technical University of Madrid. He teaches as an external lecturer at several postgraduate courses related to port engineering and smart ports in the Technical University of Madrid. He has also helped with the creation of the first edition of the Spanish Dictionary of Engineering in the field of civil works in the construction area.

Alfonso is an Associate at OCP, where he designs port facilities from a sustainable perspective. One of the most remarkable projects he has been involved in is the design of the facilities needed for Ibiza’s new mega yacht Marina.
Before joining OCP, Alfonso worked for three years at IDOM Consulting Engineering, where he participated in projects related to the design and life management of power plants, including nuclear plants.
Alfonso holds an MSc in industrial engineering from the Universidad Politécnica de Valencia. During his studies, he had the opportunity to attend the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in Trondheim, where he specialized in mechanics and composite materials.

Aurora is an Associate at OCP, where she focuses on structural engineering, maintenance and refurbishment of existing infrastructures and technical and strategic assessment.
Aurora has been involved in a wide variety of projects, including the assessment of potential locations for a wind turbine generator factory and its import-export quay, as well as the proposal of a “digital twins” strategy for the Port Authority of Santander. She has also helped with the design of a rail beam and the concrete caisson stability analysis for the new container terminal crane at the Port of Santander.
Aurora holds an MSc in civil engineering from the Technical University of Madrid, with a specialization in structures, geotechnics, construction, and materials.

Marta is Manager at OCP, with several years of experience consulting for public and private clients in the port sector, both in Spain and abroad.
She helped with the construction of the new facilities of Club de Mar Mallorca, and the construction of the new mega yacht marina for the IGY Malaga Marina. She was also involved in the construction of a new container terminal in the Port of Santander for Boluda Corporación Maritima.
Before joining OCP, Marta contributed to the “Women and engineering” mentorship program of the Spanish Royal Academy of Engineering and was part of a research group into the Construction Department of the Technical University of Madrid.
Marta holds an MSc in Civil Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid. She also studied at the Katholieke Universiteit of Leuven (Erasmus program). She is a member of the Steering Committee of the Spanish Technical Association of Ports and Coasts (ATPYC).

Lucía is an Associate at OCP, taking part in the analysis, investment, management, and operation of terminals and marinas.
In this role, Lucía has participated in several key projects, across Spain and overseas, including a study on the implementation of a mega yacht marina in the Cádiz Bay area (Spain), the definition of a roadmap for integrated, sustainable, and secure logistics in Galapagos (Ecuador), as well as an operations optimization analysis for the Port of Georgetown (Guyana).
Before joining OCP, Lucía worked for two years as a quality and environment consultant with Gescan Consultores Técnicos, and as an intern with the engineering and maintenance department at Bridgestone Hispania.

Rafael is an Associate at OCP, where he focuses on advising on M&A processes and performing financial consulting services. In this role, he has recently been part of Project Brio, a sell-side M&A transaction of over EUR 100 million, analyzing the company’s business plan, making financial projections, and conducting the financial valuation of the transaction.
Before joining OCP, Rafael worked in private banking in Miami, advising clients on their financial strategies and investment opportunities. He also has experience in the Spanish real estate sector, analyzing the financial viability of real estate investments. Rafael also worked as a mortgage advisor for individuals and companies.
Rafael holds a law degree from the University of Navarra and a master’s degree in banking and finance from the IEB Business School. Rafael is also a CFA Charter holder since 2019.

David works as Site Engineer for OCP, where he focuses on the management of construction works for the new container terminal project, at the port of Santander.
Previously, David had been working for four years as project and construction manager in several sanitation infrastructure works, including wastewater pumping stations and storm tanks.
David holds an MSc in civil engineering from the University of Cantabria and a Master in decision making and innovation from Alcalá University.

Jaume is a Site Engineer in OCP, with several years of experience working for public and private clients in the port sector, both in Spain and abroad.
In this role, Jaume has been focusing on the management of port infrastructures during all the stages of their lifecycle, from project design, to planning and quality monitoring of the works. In particular, he has participated in the construction of new facilities of Club de Mar Mallorca (Spain), a marina with more than 400 moorings, as well as in the construction of a new bulk terminal in the port of Castellón (Spain).
Before joining OCP, he worked on various resort facility construction projects, most of them in the north of the island of Mallorca.
Jaume holds an MSc in civil engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid. He also studied at the National Polytechnic Institute of Mexico, as part of an exchange program. He is member of the Steering Committee of the Spanish Technical Association of Ports and Coasts (ATPYC).

Francisco is an Analyst at OCP, where he collaborates in structural engineering projects, maintenance and rehabilitation of port infrastructures, as well as in the commercial and operational evaluation of port projects.
Among others, Francisco has participated in the assessment and sizing of port infrastructures for the development of a new marina in Málaga.
Previously, Francisco worked as an employee and freelance in the development of various structural projects focused on the industrialization and sustainability of construction processes.
Francisco holds an MSc in Civil Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid. He is currently a PhD student at the same university in the category of structures, foundations and materials.

Antón is an Analyst at OCP, where he focuses on projects related to container and cruise terminals, marinas, and energy.
In this role, Antón helps with commercial due diligence processes that require deep insights of a port’s business model. He is also involved in the financial modeling of various types of maritime assets, such as marinas or passenger terminals.
Before joining OCP, Antón worked as analyst for the road transportation sector, at an asset management firm.
Antón holds an BSc in civil engineering from the Technical University of Madrid.

Carlos is an Associate at OIM with several years of experience as a strategic consultant and project manager for the maritime infrastructure industry.
Carlos has been involved in various projects related to ports and marinas, participating in feasibility analyses, bidding processes, and valuations of port concessions. In particular, he has helped shape a business plan for the construction and operation of a new cruise terminal and mega yacht marina in the Dominican Republic.
Carlos is also assistant to the vice-presidency of the Platform of Investors in Spanish Ports (PIPE).
Before joining OIM, Carlos worked as an associate project manager at Rover Infraestructuras in the construction of the Sabiñánigo highway (Huesca, Spain).
Carlos holds an MSc in civil engineering from the Technical University of Madrid, where he specialized in financing infrastructure and transportation (accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET throughout the USA).

Pablo is an Analyst at OCP, where he helps with the commercial and operational evaluation of port projects.
More specifically, Pablo has been involved in the review of rig demand forecasts and the preparation of a bid for the restructuring of the concession system at Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as well as in the exploitation plan of the port of Santander.
Previously, Pablo worked at Acciona Concessions, where he focused on public-private partnerships. In this role, he participated in the tender offer process of several international projects, such as the La Spezia hospital in Italy, the Troncales de Magdalena highway in Colombia, and the Belo Horizonte highway in Brazil.
Pablo holds an MSc in civil engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid, and a BSc in civil engineering from the University of Seville, where he participated in an international exchange program at the Polytechnic University of Milan.

Almudena is an analyst at OCP, where she focuses on the technical and financial analysis of national and international port projects, as well as on conducting specialized market research. Almudena also helps drafting of tender offer process documents for private and public clients.
Among many other projects, Almudena has participated in a commercial due diligence process for the world’s largest cruise port operator, a viability analysis for a marina and cruise terminal greenfield project, and a concept suitability report for the Port Authority of Castellón. She has also prepared thematic reports for several Spanish port authorities.
Before joining OCP, Almudena worked at ADIF, the Spanish state-owned railway infrastructure manager, as well as at Capgemini, in the consultancy team focusing on the technological implementation of SAP at major railway companies.
Almudena holds a MSc in civil engineering from the Technical University of Madrid, where she specialized in Hydrology and Transport (accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET throughout the USA).

Gema is a lawyer and legal advisor for OCP, where she leads the area of administrative contracting and tenders, mainly in the field of maritime port infrastructures.
Before joining OCP, Gema was responsible for the legal departments of several companies, where she specialized in land regularization processes, procedural defense, and advisory services, among other areas. Gema also collaborated with different law firms specializing in maritime law, public law, international law, as well as maritime/port business management.
Gema holds a law degree from the Complutense University of Madrid and has been a practicing lawyer at the Madrid Bar Association since 2003. She also specialized in business consultancy at the Escuela de Práctica Jurídica. Additionally, Gema has training in criminology, urban law, and credit risk management.

Before joining OCP, Almudena worked for several companies in the accounting consultancy and public relations sectors. For 20 years, she worked as an accountant with a telecommunications company, restructuring and optimizing accounting, and implementing income and expense analysis systems.

Alba is Finance & Administrative Assistant at OIM. As part of this role, she is responsible for various marketing initiatives at a passenger terminal in Málaga, in particular the design and optimization of retail commerce areas in the terminal, as well as the implementation of integrated quality, environment and occupational risk prevention systems.
Alba holds a bachelor's degree in marketing and market research from the Universidad de Málaga, and a degree in practical accounting from the Centro de Estudios Financieros (CEF).
