Tennis star Rafa Nadal invests in Ocean Platform Marinas targeting superyacht infrastructure development

Professional tennis player Rafa Nadal has acquired a minority stake in Ocean Platform Marinas (OPM) through his investment holding company Aspemir.

Led by Ocean Capital Partners, OPM specialises in the management and development of marinas for large yachts. The company is currently involved in the running of multiple facilities in Ibiza, Málaga and Seville, as part of its strategy to develop Spain’s superyacht infrastructure.

In addition, OPM has several new development projects planned in different parts of the country, helping to address the shortage of superyacht berths throughout the Mediterranean.

“The incorporation of Aspemir into Ocean Platform Marinas represents key support for our project, through which we aim to promote large-yacht yachting with sustainable, state-of-the-art infrastructure that also fosters integration between port and city,” said José Luis Almazán, managing partner of Ocean Capital Partners.
